Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Pastry Specialist Developer at head office location in Randburg. The Pastry Specialist Developer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to bakery, cooking, baking, creativity skills, product development, menu design, staff training, store training, factory training, and ensuring proper hygiene standards are met in the production of confectionery items. Travel to other stores required on occasions.


Qualifications

  • Bakery, Baking and Cooking Skills

  • Bread and Pastry Specialist

  • Product Development

  • Creativity Skills

  • Good Hygiene Practices

  • Pastry specialist

  • Retail pastry development and management 

  • Franchise Pastry Knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Experience in confectionery production and decoration is a plus

  • Formal certificates/diplomas/degrees related to baking or culinary arts is a plus

  • Drivers License and own transport - fuel can be claim back for training and travel


We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong passion for creating confectionery Pastry and Artisanal items, while consistently maintaining excellent hygiene standards and attention to detail. The ideal candidate should also be able to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with team members and clients.
