About the Role

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Modern Chef with a background in Indian Cuisines or TRENDY cuisines in the fine dining industry. You will run and manage the department with an efficient kitchen by consistently looking to improve the menu and recipes, producing quality food, and working closely with restaurant owners in the overall food and beverage operations of the restaurant. Most important is the presentation and quality of dishes being presented as well as knowledge of trendy indian cuisines - make your own flare and make it something unique.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage finances for kitchen operations

  • Produce quality food and modernize dishes

  • Oversee menu creation

  • Train junior personnel

  • Implement systems and procedures 


Qualifications

  • Degree in Culinary Arts - benefit but not essential (experience important)

  • 8+ years of kitchen Management experience

  • COSTINGS AND INVENTORY essential

  • Experience in leading and supervising junior chefs (25 +- staff)

  • Experience working within budget constraints
